Sennheiser has unveiled the HDB 630, the latest addition to its premium HD range, promising “true audiophile sound” both wired or wirelessly. The new headphones build upon the Momentum 4’s design, but feature a reworked acoustic system that aims to deliver a more precise and focused listening experience.
The HDB 630 features 42mm drivers and adaptive noise cancellation, but the main highlight lies in its flexible approach to high-resolution playback. The headphones can deliver up to 24-bit/96kHz audio when connected via USB-C or 3.5mm cable, and they also support the aptX Adaptive codec for wireless high-res streaming. Sennheiser has also included its own BTD 700 USB-C dongle in the box to ensure consistent, high-quality playback across compatible devices.

The company also introduces a new feature called “crossfeed,” designed to blend the left and right audio channels. This can help mitigate harsh channel separation often found in certain stereo recordings, offering a more cohesive soundstage.

According to Sennheiser, the HDB 630’s battery offers up to 60 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC enabled. A 10-minute top-up via USB-C is enough to provide around seven additional hours of playback.

Additionally, users can fine-tune their sound through the Smart Control Plus app, which now features a parametric equaliser with advanced filters, bandwidth adjustments and real-time A/B testing. Sennheiser also plans a future update that will allow EQ settings to be shared with others via QR codes.
The HDB 630 will be available from 21 October 2025, at least in the US. For what it’s worth, the headphones are already on Sennheiser Malaysia’s website, priced at RM2,499. However, it is currently listed as out of stock, likely due to pre-orders not currently available locally just yet.
