As the announcement of Intel’s Panther Lake draws closer, it’s common that the chipmaker’s rusty plumbing would begin to experience a continuous springing of leaks. The most recent leak includes slides from what is believed to be a presentation, likely given to those in attendance of its Tech Tour in Arizona.
The latest slide from TweakTown at least confirms that Panther Lake is, indeed, going to be the first CPU architecture built around the 18A process. Further, it states that the lineup will feature a new High-Performance Core Design, similar to Arrow Lake-H, while maintaining a “Leading x86 Power Efficiency” similar to Lunar Lake.

Sadly, there isn’t anything more on the subject, although TweakTown says that the new hybrid architecture will introduce a “most refined” hybrid P-Core and E-Core setup for next generation laptops. Additionally, Intel says that the new architecture will contribute to a significantly improved battery life, thanks to the new hybrid core setup.
Intel will be announcing the new Panther Lake architecture on 9 October. In conjunction with the announcement, it is believed that the blue chipmaker could announce a new Core Ultra X Tier to the lineup, suggesting that it wishes to expand out with higher perfomance variants for the market. Whatever the case, we’ll just have to wait until the stated date.
