Huawei has officially launched the Watch GT 6 lineup, succeeding last year’s Watch GT 5 series. As with the previous generation, this set of smartwatches features a regular model and a pro variant.
Starting off with the vanilla version, it comes in two sizes: 41mm and 46mm. The smaller model sports a 1.32-inch 466 x 466 AMOLED screen. The larger version sports the same display, except it measures 1.47 inches. The watches come with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

In terms of features, the watches come with an improved GPS, which Huawei claims is 20% more accurate than the Watch GT 5 series. Additionally, this year’s lineup features a new selection of watch faces with more customisation options. Aside from that, the wearables feature 64GB of storage.
Furthermore, the brand has upgraded its TruSense system with all-day HRV, improved sleep monitoring, as well as faster emotion and stress detection. The watches now offer what the company calls a two-dimensional emotion detection.

As for fitness tracking, Huawei has introduced two new sports modes, which are skiing and cycling. The latter includes a cycling virtual power metric, and automatic detection for when the wearer begins cycling and pauses at traffic lights. Additionally, there is a fall detection feature that automatically initiates requests for help.
Battery life also gets an improvement with a new high-silicon stacked special-shaped battery, which the brand claims offers a 65% higher capacity compared to the GT 5 lineup. According to Huawei, the 46mm Watch GT 6 offers up to 21 days of light usage, with a typical battery life of 13 days. Meanwhile, the smaller model can last eight days with regular use, or 14 days of light use.

As for the Watch GT 6 Pro, it comes in a single 46mm size. The device sports a 1.47-inch 466 x 466 AMOLED display protected with sapphire glass. Compared to last year’s iteration, the screen is slightly larger, with a higher peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It gets the same battery life as the 46mm Watch GT 6, as well as the same IP69 dust and water resistance rating.
In terms of features, it gets the same improvements as the vanilla version, as well as a few extra features. More specifically, it gets new trail running, freediving, and golf modes. The golf mode comes with a redesigned UI and vector maps with infinite zoom. On the health monitoring end, it gets an extra ECG function.

Other features included across all models of the series include support for TNG eWallet QR payments, as well as the MyBorderPass app. Both the vanilla and Pro variants are available for pre-order from the brand’s physical outlets, official website, as well as its stores on e-commerce platforms including Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
The 46mm Watch GT 6 is available in green, grey, and black. Meanwhile, the smaller 41mm version comes in white, purple, and brown. The black and purple models are priced at RM999, while the rest will set you back RM1,099.
As for the Pro variant, it comes with three strap options: brown composite woven, titanium, and black fluoroelastomer. The brown and black versions retail for RM1,299, while the titanium model comes at a pricier RM1,999. As part of the launch, those pre-ordering any of the watches can get free gifts worth up to RM446, including a pair of Huawei FreeBuds 6i and three months of Huawei Health+ membership.
