Huawei said last week that it will be refreshing the MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition today. As promised, the tablet is now officially launched for the Malaysian market. Though as a refresh, there’s more that’s the same as its predecessor than different.
Naturally, as the name suggests, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition won’t be changing the size of its 11.5-inch screen. Its resolution is 2,456 x 1,600, and it retains the familiar 120Hz refresh rate. Staying on familiar ground are the 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. But rather than using a Qualcomm ship, this refresh uses the Kirin T82B, according to its official product page. This is similar to the 8020 used by the brand elsewhere.
Powering the device is a 10,100 mAh battery, which is considerably larger than before. It also has support for 40W charging. For imaging, it has a familiar 13Mp rear camera and an 8MP front-facing unit. On the software side of things, it runs HarmonyOS 4.3.
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition launches with a price tag of RM1,599. Pre-orders for the tablet are now open, and will remain so until 26 August. Place your pre-order and you’ll be entitled to free gifts worth up to RM698, including a compatible M-Pencil stylus to go with the tablet.
