Razer has introduced the DeathAdder V4 Pro, a new iteration of its best-selling gaming mouse line. According to the company, it is designed with input from professional esports players, introducing significant hardware improvements aimed at competitive gamers.

The DeathAdder V4 Pro is Razer’s first mouse to feature its all-new HyperSpeed Wireless Gen 2 technology, a new wireless architecture that boasts over 63% improved power efficiency and 37% lower latency compared to the previous generation. Paired with a redesigned dongle, the mouse supports polling rates of up to 8000 Hz in both wired and wireless modes. The company adds that users can expect up to 150 hours of battery life at 1000 Hz, balancing endurance with peak performance.

Another first for the DeathAdder line is the inclusion of Razer’s new Optical Scroll Wheel, purpose-built to offer more tactile precision and three times the durability of mechanical alternatives. It joins the company’s Gen-4 Optical Mouse Switches, which are rated for 100 million clicks.

Tracking duties are handled by the Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2, offering up to 45,000 DPI, 900 IPS tracking speed, and 85 G acceleration. Razer claims 99.8% resolution accuracy, with support for features like Dynamic Sensitivity, Mouse Rotation and Sensitivity Matcher, designed to give players greater control.

Another highlight is the DeathAdder V4 Pro’s weight, where – despite the added tech – it only measures at 56g for the black colour option. The white variant comes in at a gram more due to the paint used, which is something we’ve seen before with its predecessor. Internally, the mouse has been re-engineered to remain lightweight without sacrificing structural integrity by featuring reinforced side walls and a redesigned chassis.

Meanwhile, its signature ergonomic shape has been further refined for better comfort and precision, while larger PTFE feet ensure smooth gliding. Razer says the new split side-button design aims to reduce accidental presses, especially during high-pressure moments.

The DeathAdder V4 Pro is priced at RM799 and will be available in Malaysia soon through local retailers. According to Razer’s website, those who order the mouse through there are expected to receive it on 18 July through expedited delivery, or by 22 July with free shipping.
