While Xiaomi has officially teased the arrival of the Redmi Pad 2 in Malaysia, it has yet to announce an exact launch date. It could potentially be released here during the brand’s upcoming SEA launch event on 19 June 2025, but ahead of this, a couple of local retailers have already put up the prices and details of the tablet.
According to the retailers, the Pad 2 will actually be even more affordable than its predecessor and it will come in two variants, specifically an LTE-supported version as well as a Wi-Fi only model. The LTE model will start from RM699 for a 4GB+128GB variant while the 8GB+256GB configuration will cost RM999; the Wi-Fi version, which comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will carry a price tag of RM799.

As for the specs, the Pad 2 sports an 11-inch 16:10 LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Underneath the chassis, you will find a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra with support for Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3.

For video calling, the tablet is fitted with an 8MP snapper on the back while the front houses a 5MP sensor, packaged together with Dolby Atmos speakers and a headphone jack. Backing it is a 9,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
