Bolt has announced a new feature for airport pickups called Flight Tracking, which aims to make your travels from the airport more seamless. The feature adds to the e-hailing app’s ride-scheduling option and lets users sync their flight details with their scheduled ride.
According to Afzan Lutfi, general manager of Bolt Malaysia, the platform is an official ride-hailing partner of over 30 airports across the world, including KLIA 1 and 2. To use it, users need to tap on the “Schedule” button in the app and enter either Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 as the pickup location.
From there, you can add your flight details such as the landing date, flight number, airline, or departure city and choose the specific flight. You will also need to choose how many minutes after landing to be picked up. Flight Tracking will automatically update the scheduled pickup time if your flight is delayed or cancelled.
Bolt’s schedule feature allows users to book a ride up to 90 days in advance. The app allows you to cancel scheduled bookings up to one hour before the ride, but beyond that, it will charge you a RM10 late-cancellation fee.
