The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has been a rather anticipated model within its series. While it was slated for an April release, some setbacks caused it to face postponement, including the passing of the company’s co-CEO, and some unspecified “technical issues”. While it was claimed to be released on 13 May, a new leak now states that the phone will be available in certain markets on 23 May.
According to FNNews via SamMobile, Samsung will release more details regarding its Galaxy S25 Edge on 13 May, and make it available for pre-orders from 14 May to 20 May. The phone could launch in China and South Korea on 23 May, and then be released in “global markets such as the USA on 30 May” according to machine translation, though specifics were not mentioned.
Samsung will apparently hold a Galaxy Unpacked event on 13 May, in which the colours, specifications, and pricing of the Galaxy S25 Edge will be unveiled. Speaking of the price, the phone is rumoured to cost KRW1.5 million (~RM4,573) for the 256GB storage version, and KRW1.63 million (~RM4,969) for the 512GB version.
The Galaxy S25 Edge will reportedly be the thinnest smartphone from its brand. It will apparently be around 5.8mm to 6.4mm thin, and although this may appear to be a flaw as it could impact its sturdiness, the company has previously insisted that the device will remain durable. As Samsung itself has not confirmed the launch date or price of the phone, we will have to wait and see if these leaks hold up.
