Samsung has officially launched its latest entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy A06 5G, in Malaysia. Among the things that sets this model apart from the initial Galaxy A06 is its ability to support 5G connectivity, as well as the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor which powers it.
The Galaxy A06 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate for a fluid viewing experience. Other notable highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

For the Malaysian market, the phone is only offered with a single memory configuration of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Meanwhile, powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast wired charging.
Imaging-wise, on the back of the Galaxy A06 5G is a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. In front, housed within the water-drop notch on the display is an 8MP selfie snapper.

Samsung guarantees longevity with four generations of OS updates and four years of security patches for the entry-level smartphone. Additionally, the onboard Samsung Knox Vault provides robust security with tamper-resistant hardware to safeguard personal data.

The Galaxy A06 5G is now available in Malaysia at RM699, and is offered in Light Green, Light Gray and Black colourways. Customers can purchase the device from Samsung-authorised retailers and mobile operators, including CelcomDigi, Hotlink, U Mobile, Unifi Mobile and YES Mobile.
