Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has introduced the EQE 350+ Electric Art (EA) Line sedan, expanding its EQE line-up. This model debuted earlier today alongside the model’s updated AMG Line, which comes with new features not offered by the original release from last year.
The newly introduced Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ EA comes with a rear electric motor with 292PS (288 hp or 215 kW) and 565Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h. Also onboard is a 90.56 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing up to 682 km of WLTP-rated range on a single charge.
Speaking of which, the EA variant comes with an improved AC charging rate of 22kW, reducing the charging time to four hours and 45 minutes for a 10-100% state of charge. The DC fast charging, on the other hand, remains unchanged at a maximum of 170 kW, taking 32 minutes to charge from 10 to 80%.
Features on this particular model include the all-new Electric Art exterior and interior, as well as Digital Light headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, 19-inch five-twin spoke light-alloy wheels, a Keyless-Go Comfort package, and an Advanced Sound System audio system. The interior is equipped with black/space grey Artico man-made leather seats, a laser-cut backlit trim on the dashboard, and a black fine-structure look for the centre console.
Meanwhile, the updated EQE 350+ AMG Line adds new features like a panoramic sunroof, rear axle steering with up to 10 degrees of adjustment, Airmatic air suspension, and an electric charging socket flap. Its specifications remain unchanged, featuring the same dual motor all-wheel drive system with 292PS (288hp or 215kW) and 565Nm of torque, a 90.56kWh lithium-ion battery that offers up to 669km range (WLTP), up to 11kW AC charging support, and up to 170kW via DC.
Both variants continue to offer Mercedes-Benz’s Driving Assistance Plus Package. These include features such as autonomous emergency braking, Active Distance Assist Distronic (adaptive cruise control) with extended automatic restart in traffic jams, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Steering Assist, Evasive Manoeuvre Support, and Pre-Safe Impulse Side.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line is priced at RM379,888 on-the-road without insurance. The updated EQE 350+ AMG Line, on the other hand, is priced at RM429,888 OTR without insurance, which is RM10,000 more than its initial release.
