Schneider Electric has announced its first ever public EV charging hub in partnership with local charging network operator JusEV. With the new hub, the company also introduced a new 180kW DC fast charger called the EVlink Pro DC.
The new hub is located at Plaza 33 in Petaling Jaya, which is a certified Green Building with MSC status, and is operated by JusEV. Furthering the partnership, the two companies have entered into an agreement to install over 100 chargers in private and commercial buildings this year, with 10% of them being DC fast chargers.
The EVlink Pro DC charger comes with support services from a worldwide network of skilled technicians for optimal operation and maintenance. Schneider Electric claims that the charger up facilitate an 80% charge completion within 20 minutes, with scalable power options ranging from 120kW to 150kW as well as 180kW, allowing it to charge up to two vehicles at the same time.
There is even integration with the EcoStruxure EV Charging Expert system to intelligently allocate energy from the building to the charging stations. Aside from the new DC charger, Schneider recently introduced its lineup of AC chargers that are deployed in parking facilities along with its EVlink Smart Wallbox for corporate EV fleets.
