Igor Bogdanov (aka Quadro_News) has shared new information regarding the allegedly upcoming DJI Pocket 3 camera, which has seen plenty of leaks prior to this from the same tipster. This time around, not only did he provide details of the device’s specifications, but a video featuring it in action as well.
According to the tipster, the Pocket 3 will feature a new 1-inch sensor, though its megapixel count or make is still unknown at this time. Given that the product itself is of a newer generation, it is safe to assume that its imaging capabilities will offer improvements over its three-year-old predecessor. Speaking of which, Bogdanov claims that video recordings on DJI’s upcoming compact camera will support 10-bit D-Log M colour mode, making it the first from the product line to feature this – provided that this leak is accurate, of course.

It is also suggested that there will be three built-in microphones for sound recordings, which is very odd. Reason being that its predecessor actually featured a total of four, which itself is considered an upgrade over the original Pocket’s two microphones. Either DJI has found a way to lower the count thanks to newer and improved sound recording technologies, or there’s an error in the information given. Speaking of technologies, it is also said that the Pocket 3 will feature intelligent wind noise reduction.
Next up is a tidbit about its display, which is believed to feature the ability to rotate for different modes of shooting – something which we’ve speculated in our previous coverage. Additionally, it is suggested that DJI will release several new accessories for the Pocket 3 upon launch. Among those mentioned include a threaded handle, an endurance handle (likely with battery extension), mini tripod, a “wide mirror” and others.

Apart from that, Bogdanov also provided a clip showcasing the device in action. Unfortunately, the video barely revealed anything worth noting due to its short duration.
No exact date for the alleged DJI Pocket 3’s launch is provided, but Bogdanov did suggest that its debut could still happen sometime this year. In a reply to a question regarding the potential date on X, the leakster simply responded with “Soon.”
