Very recently, serial leakster OnLeaks shared on Twitter that Samsung has plans to officially unveil the Galaxy A54 and A34 phones on 15 March. These dates are looking to be pretty accurate right now, as these devices now have their own entries in the SIRIM database.

The approval dates for both entries are very recent too. From the dates listed, the Samsung Galaxy A54 got its approval first, on 1 March, while the Galaxy A34 was approved yesterday. For those who are interested, their model numbers are also self-explanatory, designated SM-A54E/DS and SM-A346E/DSN, respectively.

That being said, these phones appearing in the SIRIM database only means that these Samsung Galaxy A series devices have made landfall in-country. It’s not exactly confirmation of the supposed 15 March release date, though it does suggest that it will be available locally at around the same time, which is almost always a good thing.

Beyond that, there’s not much else that can be gleamed from the listing. So for their specs we only have the prior leak to work with. For the Samsung Galaxy A54, this means a 6.4-inch Full HD+ 120Hz screen, an Exynos 1380 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 256GB of storage space and a 5000mAh battery. As for the Galaxy A34, this will reportedly come with 6.6-inch Full HD+ 120Hz display, a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 5000mAh battery. Though if nothing else, the RAM disparity should be reason enough to take these with a pinch of salt.

With the claimed launch date of 15 March looking more likely than before, it won’t be long before we know for sure what these Samsung Galaxy A series phones pack. And on that note, it won’t be long before we know what they cost as well. For now though, it’s probably safe to say that they will be priced similar to, or slightly higher than, the entries from last year.
