Casio and Warner Bros. have recently unveiled a new collaborative product featuring the popular animated series Rick and Morty. Thankfully, rather than a real-life version of a Plumbus, the device will be a new limited edition G-Shock DW5600 watch which will sport the branding, colour scheme, and graphic elements from the TV show.
The watch, bearing the model number DW5600RM21-1, comes in a black body with green accents. Surrounding its watch face is a neon green portal design, along with the “Rick and Morty” branding that is situated on top. When activated, the EL backlight will reveal the faces of the show’s titular characters in the display’s background.
On the back of this G-Shock model is an engraving featuring, again, the faces of Rick and Morty, as well as the show’s logo. And if (for some reason) you think that there aren’t enough of the two characters’ mugs on the watch already, then rest assured that you’ll see even more of them on the straps – styled in a neon green outline.
As with other co-branded limited edition Casio G-Shock DW5600 releases, this version of the watch also comes with a box and case which sports the same theme. The new Rick and Morty x G-Shock DW5600RM21-1 is priced at US$170 (~RM707) and is slated to ship out in the US on 26 October 2021. Casio did not reveal if the watch will be made available in other regions across the globe.
