In yet another interesting move by the telco, Maxis Fibre customers are now able to add a Samsung 4K Smart TV into their plan. According to the telco, it began to provide this add-on option to customers since 21 September through a 24-months Zerolution scheme.

The actual TV model that customers can obtain depends on the type of their plan as well as specific fibre speed that they have at their premise.

Those who are on Maxis Unlimited Postpaid & Fibre plan with 500Mbps or 800Mbps fibre speed can obtain the 65-inch Samsung TU7000 4K Smart TV for RM 1 per month. For customers that are on the same plan but with lower 30Mbps, 100Mbps, and 300Mbps fibre speed instead, they can still purchase the TV but at a much higher price, amounting to RM 79 per month.

On another hand, stand-alone Maxis Fibre 500Mbps and 800Mbps customers can choose the 50-inch Samsung TU7000 4K Smart TV for RM 1 per month. Similarly, the TV is also available for Maxis Fibre 30Mbps, 100Mbps, and 300Mbps customers for RM 79 per month.

Despite offering the plan through an instalment scheme, the accumulated monthly fees for these Samsung 4K Smart TVs are much lower than their actual retail price. For those who need to pay RM 1 per month, they can obtain the 65-inch or 50-inch TV for only RM 24 as opposed to their usual RM 3999 and RM 2299 price-tag, respectively.

Even for those who are charged RM 79 per month, that equals to RM 1896 at the end of their 24-month contract. In case you’re wondering, yes, customers can keep the Samsung 4K TV when their contract ends.
