The sub-brand of Xiaomi, POCO has officially unveiled the latest addition to its portfolio, the POCO X3 NFC. Since many of the brand’s previous phones were rebranded Xiaomi or Redmi devices, the arrival of X3 has breathed some fresh air into POCO’s line up thanks to the new design that was featured on the back area of the phone.

One of the major elements within the new design is the camera module which is quite different from previous Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices. It houses a 64MP Sony IMX682 main camera alongside a 13MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and another 2MP depth sensor while there is also another 20MP punch-hole camera on the front part of the phone.

In terms of processing power, POCO has previously revealed that the X3 will carry the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G. At the global unveiling web launch today, the brand has filled in the blanks by stating that the phone will also carry up to 6GB LPDD4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

POCO has also revealed that the X3 comes with a thermal solution called Liquid Cool Technology 1.0 Plus which consisted of a copper heat pipe and layers of graphite that apparently can help cool down the phone’s processor up to 6 Celsius lower.

Another major highlight on the IP53-certified phone is its 6.67-inch Full HD+ display which has 120Hz refresh rate alongside 240Hz touch sampling rate. Other than that, it also comes standard with a 5160mAh battery that can be charged up to 62% in just 30 minutes through the 33W charger that is included in the box.

For its latest phone, POCO has opted out of the in-screen fingerprint reader and has chosen a side-mounted reader instead. Longtime POCO or Xiaomi fans might be happy to see that the brand continues to provide a 3.5mm audio jack and IR blaster on the new X3 NFC.

Since the X3 NFC has already gone through the certification process in Malaysia, it is not a surprise that Xiaomi has also announced the phone’s availability in our market. To be available from 9 September onwards, the 64GB variant of the phone is priced at RM 899 while the 128GB model goes for RM 1099.

However, early adopters will be able to purchase the new phone at a much lower price at RM 799 and RM 949 respectively through Xiaomi’s official store on Shopee. Not only that, those who purchased the 64GB model will also receive a POCO mousepad and BlackShark FunCooler.

On another hand, customers that chose to get their hands on the X3 NFC with 128GB will receive a POCO digital pouch and the higher-end BlackShark Fun Cooler Pro. For more information, do head on to POCO Malaysia’s official Facebook page.
