Facebook recently launched its Recommendation Guidelines for its users. As per Facebook’s official posting, the new guideline is designed to suggest specific content to users, thus making them feel more personalised.
The recommended content differs from user to user and is based on how one interacts with material posted on the platform on a daily basis. To be specific, the recommendations range from suggested friends, pages, and groups that you might be interested in.
On a related note, Facebook also acknowledges that some recommendations originate from accounts that users have no desire of following. To that end, the social network sets a certain standard to the contents they wish to recommend for all users. So as to limit the amount of inappropriate content popping up on a user’s feed.
