Around a month ago, Dell has introduced two new XPS laptops including the XPS 15 2020 which was made available in Malaysia just days after its global debut. At that time, the company did not reveal any information for Malaysia regarding the other new XPS model, the XPS 17.

Being an XPS laptop, it does not surprise anyone that the XPS 17 was also given the same sleek design treatment by Dell as per XPS 13 and XPS 15 before it. With an aluminium chassis that was conceived through CNC machining process, the laptop also features a carbon fibre palm rest and super-slim bezels on its InfinityEdge display which not only has a 93.7% screen to body ratio but is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

As it turns out, the laptop which Dell has been claimed as the smallest 17-inch laptop on the planet has quietly made its way to Malaysia. At the time we published this article, there are three variants of XPS 17 2020 on Dell Malaysia’s website.

Powered by Intel Core i5-10300H, the base model also features a 17-inch Full HD+ non-touch display alongside 8GB of RAM and 512GB solid state drive. Priced at RM 8499, Dell is currently listing it at a slightly lower price of RM 7999.

The current mid-tier variant still features the non-touch display but comes with a beefier Intel Core i7-10750H processor and dedicated graphics in the form of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti. Together with a discounted price tag of RM 9999, it also comes with more memory and storage space at 16GB and 1TB, respectively.

On another hand, the top-tier variant also features the same processor, graphics, memory, and storage as per the mid-tier unit. However, Dell has equipped a 4K touch display into the variant which increased its price tag to RM 10999 and that is after a discount of RM 1000.

If the brief information above has managed to attract your attention, then do head on to Dell Malaysia’s website to learn more about the new XPS 17.
