This Chinese New Year, Sony Malaysia is offering consumers and fans of the Xperia range a chance own its current flagship, the Xperia 1, at a price below its current SRP. From now until 2 February 2020, the phone will retail at RM3799, which is RM500 off of its original price of RM4299. Additionally, Sony is also providing a free 64GB SDCard and protective casing.
As a quick recap, the Xperia 1 made its debut last year at MWC 2019. The phone features a unique 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display. That is actually longer than the typical smartphone display, both to keep the display notch-free and to accommodate its CinemaWide, 21:9 aspect ratio. Beneath the hood, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, while the main camera comprises three 12MP sensors.
On a related note and as you can see from the poster, the offer also includes the Xperia 5, although the device isn’t discounted and retains its original SRP of RM3399. To sweeten the pot, each purchase of the phone comes with a phone casing and a free pair of the WH-CH510 headphones.
