Vivo NEX made its name as the phone with a pop-up selfie camera but a few months ago, the company has launched another version that was not equipped with the camera. Instead, it features another display on its back and that very phone can now be pre-ordered in Malaysia.
Aside from featuring a 5.49-inch Full HD display on its back, another big highlight of Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition is its 10GB RAM. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the phone also comes standard with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ display on its front and 128GB internal storage.
In order to deliver a true full screen experience, Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition doesn’t come with a front facing camera. On this phone, all kind of photography including selfies are handled exclusively by its rear camera which comes with a 12MP Sony IMX363 alongside a 2MP sensor for low-light conditions.
Not only that, the camera is also accompanied by a TOF 3D stereo camera that apparently helps the phone with facial recognition, and selfie beautification. Also distinctively visible within the camera area of the NEX Dual Display Edition is Lunar Ring which helps diffuse the camera’s two LED lights.
Just like the original NEX, the NEX Dual Display also comes with in-screen fingerprint scanner. A 3500mAh battery completes the phone’s general specifications.
Price-wise, the NEX Dual Display will apparently be released in Malaysia for RM 3199 based on this pre-order listing by DirectD which includes an official warranty from Vivo Malaysia. The listing also stated that the phone will likely to arrive in Malaysia on 10 January 2019 which means that you will be able to hear more information regarding the phone’s imminent roll out in our market very soon.
