Late last month, Petron Malaysia has announced that its service stations have now begun to accept payments through WeChat Pay MY e-wallet. If you have been finding a reason to utilize the e-wallet app until now, here is a good one: there is an on-going promo which allows you to fill in RM 40 worth of petrol into your vehicle for only RM 20.
In general, this particular promo provides RM 20 instant rebates with minimum purchases of RM 40 in a single receipt at Petron service stations that support WeChatPay MY. You can generally purchase any products at Petron service stations with the rebate including petrol for your vehicle.
The idea might sound rather simple but of course, things are not exactly straightforward. For starters, each user can only redeem this RM 20 instant rebate once. After that, the rebate would then be reduced to RM 10 although it is valid for three further transactions before it ceases to work.
