WeChat Pay Is Now Supported At Petron Service Stations

WeChat Pay Malaysia together with Petron Malaysia today have jointly announced that WeChat Pay MY e-wallet can now be supported in Petron service stations. According to both companies, they are the first in Malaysia to offer such e-wallet payment options within the service stations industry.

For starters, the WeChat Pay MY e-wallet can now be utilized in almost 200 Petron service stations at the moment. The support will then be expanded to more Petron stations throughout Malaysia in gradual manner.

Integrated within the popular messaging app WeChat, Malaysia is actually the first country outside of China to receive the support of WeChat Pay in local currency. The feature was officially rolled out to users in Malaysia back in June and have since been supported in various outlets including KK Mart, Tealive, Starbucks, and many more.
