ASUS Russia Reveals ZenFone Max M2 and ZenFone Max M2 Pro Ahead Of Launch

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is a phone that we’ve talked about quite a lot recently. We’ve found out that there will be two variants before, and Shopee has also claimed exclusive rights to one of them.

But ahead of its launch on 11 December, it looks like the company’s Russian site has jumped the gun. We first saw this thanks to serial leaker Roland Quandt, but it’s probably not considered a leak when both Max M2 and Max Pro M2 are being prominently highlighted on the home page of ASUS Russia’s website.

On the ZenFone Max M2, the phone sports a 6.3-inch HD+ (1520 x 720) notched display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 13MP + 2MP rear camera setup and an 8MP front-facing camera. The battery capacity is rated at 4000mAh, and the color options (in Russia at least) are Black and Blue.

For the ZenFone Max Pro M2, it has the same display size of 6.3-inch but with a higher resolution Full HD panel. Running on Qualcomm 660, the phone also comes standard with 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, 12MP + 5MP rear camera and 13MP front camera. Currently only available in Blue, the phone also carries a 5000mAh battery.

As for the price, the ASUS ZenFone Max M2 costs RUB12990 (~RM806) in Russia while the Pro version goes for RUB17990 (~RM1121). Despite the official nature of these figures, they’re not necessarily what we will be getting here in Malaysia though.

For now, we’ll still have to wait for next week’s regional launch to see if we’re indeed getting the non-pro version of ZenFone Max M2 as well. So, stay tuned.
