Samsung has officially launched its 860 QVO SSD series. The new series is the latest addition to its consumer segment of solid state devices, built on the brand’s high-density 4-bit MLC NAND architecture.
The 860 QVO series utilises the standard 2.5-inch form factor, and is available in three storage capacities: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB. Performance-wise, all storage variants have sequential read and write speeds of 550MB/s and 520MB/s, respectively.
Further, the new series also comes integrated with Samsung’s Intellgient TurboWrite technology. Allowing the drives to maintain a high level of performance over longer periods of time.
The Samsung 860 QVO series SSDS will be available globally beginning December 2018, with a starting SRP of US$149.99 (~RM630) for the 1TB. All models will also come with a three-year limited warranty.
At the time of writing, no local pricing has been announced.
