Collaborations between automotive and smartphone companies are quite a norm these days but nevertheless, many of those collaborations would result in interesting limited edition products. In the case of OnePlus, the company has partnered together with the famed British automotive group, McLaren which is largely known for its efforts in Formula 1 racing and supercars.
As shown on the mini-site for the upcoming launch next month, it is quite clear that both companies have found several common grounds in each other; especially in terms of pursuit for innovation and speed.
According to the joint media statement, the collaboration between OnePlus and McLaren was described as a “long-term technology partnership” which is quite an interesting way to put it. For now, both companies have not officially revealed what they are going to show off at the launch event though.
That being said, the address of the mini-site that we mentioned above clearly pointed to a OnePlus 6T McLaren edition although it has been subsequently changed to this particular address not long after the site was revealed. Well then, let’s see what will unfold on 11 December.
