Fortnite for Android beta recently expanded its support for other Android devices with Epic Games’ v5.40 update. According to the patch notes on its site, the game is now supported on HTC, Sony, and Motorola mobile devices.

In the case of HTC, Sony, and Motorola, the smartphone models that will support Fortnite for Android under each brand are as listed below:

  • HTC: 10, U Ultra, U11, U11+, U12+
  • Sony: Xperia XZ, XZs, XZ1, XZ2
  • Motorola: Moto Z, Z Droid, Moto Z2 Force

In addition, the update also adds voice chat support for the Android version of the game. Giving players the ability to chat and discuss tactics with each other, just as they would when playing on the PC version of the game.

Fortnite for Android first launched in tandem with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. After the launch, the game became available to several other smartphone brands. Including ASUS, Razer, Huawei, OnePlus, and Xiaomi, to name a few. HTC, Sony, and Motorola are just some of the latest brands to officially receive support for the game.

Unlike the majority of apps, Fortnite for Android is not available for download via the Google Play Store. To play the game, Android users will need to sign up for the beta on the company’s official site, and then wait for Epic Gmes to send you an email that contains the download link for the game.
