Xiaomi has announced that the Mi Robot Vacuum is now officially available in Malaysia. The autonomous vacuum can be obtained for RM 1099 via Authorized Mi Stores throughout Malaysia as well as Lazada and Shopee.
Based on the info provided by Xiaomi, we believe that the Mi Robot Vacuum that the company has released in Malaysia today is the same version that Xiaomi has announced almost two years ago.
Through the combination of its laser distance sensor and 11 other sensors together with the held of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping algorithm, the Mi Robot Vacuum is able to map out the layout of users’ home and calculate the best cleaning path.
A Nidec brushless motor provides Mi Robot Vacuum with the sucking power to take debris and particles away while a 5200mAh batter allows it to operate for up to 2.5 hours. It also able to cover around 250 square meters of cleaning on single charge.
Users are able to manage the Mi Robot Vacuum by using the Mi Home app. Through the app, they not only able to check the robot’s cleaning status but also schedule specific cleaning time for it as well.
As mentioned earlier, the Mi Robot Vacuum is priced at RM 1099 and we were informed that it was supposed to be available from today onwards. However, we have yet to see the device appear on Mi Malaysia’s official store on Lazada and Shopee at the time this article was published though.
