Touch ‘n Go Retires SmartTAG: Effective Immediately

Touch ‘n Go (TnG) has announced on its official website that the company has ceased the sale of its SmartTAG immediately. The device which was first released into the market back in 1999 will be replaced by RFID sticker that will be begin its public pilot test starting from next month onwards.

Fret not though, your SmartTAG still can be used at the moment. That being said, TnG didn’t provide the penultimate deadline on when they will fully discontinued the support for SmartTAG.

Until that happen, SmartTAG owners can still send over their device to TnG for services shall the need arises. There is no changes to the existing terms and conditions for SmartTAG usages.

If you just bought one unit recently, TnG has pointed out that all sales of SmartTAG are final which means you not able to request for refunds.
