Samsung recently announced its new gaming-centric laptop, the Notebook Odyssey Z. Like all other recently released notebooks, the Odyssey Z comes equipped with the latest Intel 8th Gen Core i7 mobile processor.
The Odyssey Z comes with a 15.6″ Full HD display that is driven by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU. The notebook can also equipped with up to 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM, along with a maximum storage capacity of a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD.
Surprisingly, the Odyssey Z weighs in at a pretty hefty 2.4kg despite its seemingly slim form factor design. As a point of comparison; the recently announced MSI GS65 Stealth gaming notebook weighs 1.8kg, and that notebook is packing the same Core i7-8750H CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with Max Q discrete GPU.
The Samsung Notebook Odyssey Z will be made available this month in selected countries, including Korea and China. The US is also slated to receive the notebook, but only sometime during the third quarter of this year. Sadly, the notebook is not likely to be available in Malaysia, on account that Samsung had pulled out from the local notebook market in the country years ago.
