A Malaysian game studio Ammobox has revealed that its game which is called EXIMIUS: Seize The Frontline will be heading to Early Access on Steam later this year. The announcement was made earlier this week just as the company is showcasing the game at the on-going the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

According to Ammobox, EXIMIUS provides the experience of first person shooter and real time strategy in one single game. Focusing on squad-based combat, the game’s main highlight is its 5v5 multiplayer with each team consisted of one Commander and four Squad Officers.

The Commander is where the RTS experience of the game lies as this particular role allows player to build bases and train infantry squad before assigning them to the Officers. On another hand, Officers main duty is to lead the AI-driven squad members into the battle in first person mode.

The announcement at GDC 2018 is long time coming as the game was first introduced to the world back around 10 years ago during a pitching session at MDEC;s Intellectual Property Creators Challenge 2008. Meanwhile, gamers can expect to check out the game through Steam’s Early Access this coming September.
