Good news for Celcom and Xpax subscribers who are going on a year-end holiday overseas. The telco is currently having a promotion for its 1-day Internet Pass on Celcom Passport, offering double the data for the same price. This promotion is valid in more than 160 countries.
Celcom’s 2x roaming data for RM38/day promotion is valid from now until 31 December 2017. No subscription is required for postpaid users, when you travel to the listed countries, turn on data roaming on your device, and you will automatically be subscribed to the 1-day Internet Pass. Xpax users can subscribe to the 1-day Internet Pass by dialing *118#. Do ensure that you are connected to Celcom’s roaming partner for the country you are travelling to.
The amount of data you get for Celcom’s 1-day Internet Pass depends on the country you are traveling to. Get up to 1GB of roaming data each day for countries like Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, India and many more. For those who are traveling to Singapore, Bangaladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, or Nepal, Celcom is offering 500MB of roaming data for only RM4.99 a day. Celcom’s 1-day Internet Pass is valid until 11:59pm Malaysian time, regardless of where you roam. After that, your data will be refreshed, and you will be charged RM38 for another 1-day Internet Pass. If you exceed your data quota before its expiry, you can still continue to browse for free but your internet speed will be reduced.
