We reported a couple of weeks back that Sony Malaysia may be bringing in a new colour variant of the Xperia XZ Premium. Well, we’ve received word from the Japanese company itself confirming that the XZ Premium Rosso will indeed be available here.
The Rosso variant of the Xperia XZ Premium was initially launched in Japan, and it’s really quite a sleek-looking device with its striking red hue. It’s also priced exactly the same as other colour variants of the XZ Premium in Malaysia.
Beyond the colour difference, however, the Xperia XZ Premium Rosso is identical in terms of hardware as the standard models. These include an impressive 5.5-inch 4K HDR display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,230mAh battery. It also ships with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
In the camera department, the Xperia XZ Premium comes with the very same 19MP Motion Eye camera found on the Sony Xperia XZs and the newer Xperia XZ1, which allows for 960fps slow motion video recording. The front-facing shooter, on the other hand, is a 13MP camera. Of course, this device is also dust- and water-resistant.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium Rosso is now available nationwide at selected Sony Stores and Sony Centres for RM3,399. Alternatively, the XZ Premium Rosso can also be bought from Sony’s online store here.
