The Sony Xperia XZs and Xperia XZ are now much, much more affordable in Malaysia. Given that they’re not the latest flagship smartphones in our market from Sony – even though the XZs was launched just earlier this year – this isn’t all that surprising, but we’re looking at some very steep discounts here.
Out of the two smartphones, the Xperia XZ receives the highest price cut. Originally retailing at RM2,699 at launch, the 2016 flagship is now going for only RM1,999 on Lazada; that’s RM700 off.
Other retailers, such as DirectD, is offering the Xperia XZ for RM2,199 instead. The well-known retailer is also pricing the Xperia XZs at RM2,699, which is RM200 off of its suggested retail price.
Of course, we also looked up how much the Xperia XZs is going for on Lazada. For the most part, many listings are pricing the XZs similarly at RM2,699, but we notice that the Ice Blue variant – arguably the most interesting colour option – is going for slightly less at RM2,599.
Although DirectD’s discounts on the Sony Xperia XZs and XZ are not quite as steep as the Lazada listings we’ve mentioned, do note that DirectD offers customers the option to purchase these two devices from its various retail stores. But if you’re comfortable with online purchases, Lazada certainly has better prices.
