HP’s latest Omen gaming laptops have just been launched in Malaysia. For our market, both the Omen 15 and Omen 17 are available, and these gaming machines feature quite impressive hardware; the latter even comes with a 120Hz display complete with Nvidia’s G-Sync technology.
The beefier gaming laptop of the two is definitely the Omen 17. The base model is equipped with a 17.3-inch FHD 120Hz IPS display with G-Sync support, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU, an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor paired with 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB PCIe M.2 SSD along with a 1TB 7200rpm HDD.
As for the Omen 15, it is a…more modest gaming machine. The most affordable variant comes with a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display – no G-Sync support here – a GeForce GTX 1050 GPU, a Core i7-7700HQ processor paired with 4GB of RAM, and a 1TB 7200rpm HDD. Of course, this is merely the base model; higher-end models of the Omen 15 come with GTX 1050 Ti GPUs, 120Hz displays, more RAM, as well as SSD storage options.
Both the HP Omen 15 and Omen 17 are now available for purchase in Malaysia. The Omen 15 is priced from RM4,499, while the more powerful Omen 17 retails from a whopping RM8,899.
