One of the biggest qualms among consumers regarding Webe is the need to purchase Mobile WiFi pass whenever they need to tether from their smartphones. The telco then addressed the issue few months ago by offering data-oriented Mobile WiFi passes alongside time-limited free 1GB tethering data per month. Now, Webe has increased the free tethering data even further.
Instead of 1GB, Webe customers are now able to tether up to 10GB of data from their smartphones per month. The new tethering quota is available to all Webe customers as long as they registered before 1 October 2017 regardless of whether they are on consumer or SME plans.
Webe’s customers are able to keep track their Mobile WiFi usages through the Self Care section of the telco’s official website (shown above) as well as its app. However, do note that the new 10GB WiFi quota will only be available till 31 December 2017.
While there is a possibility for the telco to extend the feature further given its previous behaviors, Webe didn’t reveal what will happened to the tethering data quota beyond 2017. Guess we shall find out about that in few months’ time.
