Photo Essay: E3 2017 – Gaming’s Biggest Trade Show

E3 2017 has concluded, and the world’s biggest video game trade show is quite different this year. For the first time ever, E3 is open to the public, and the amount of crowd at the gaming convention grew exponentially.

For those who are curious just how E3 2017 looks like from the inside, here’s an extensive look. Also, if you’re wondering why we have more PlayStation-related pictures in this photo essay, we were invited to E3 by Sony. Naturally, we had more access to the company’s press conferences and media sessions.

This is Sony’s “waiting area.” Members of the media were placed here before moving into the company’s E3 press conference.

While waiting, we were free to try out a range of PlayStation 4 titles.

The crowd in the Shrine Auditorium. This was right before Sony’s press conference begins.

Sony starts off its press conference with a little performance.

Shawn Layden, the President of Sony Interactive Entertainment America.

See those “bodies” hung upside down? They were dropped in time with the dead bodies in Days Gone’s new gameplay trailer – we were surprised quite a bit.

The crowd waiting in line to get into E3.

Shadow of War has one of the most impressive booths.

PlayStation’s booth has this neat Spider-Man setup.

Ultron Sigma! Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite’s new big bad.

Very mean-looking Rathalos at Capcom’s booth.

Nintendo’s booth was one of the most crowded ones in E3.

The new Xbox One X.

Nvidia has a booth in E3 too.

Eager fans waiting in line to get into the PlayStation Gear store.

It’s Aloy with a Watcher!

The Watcher moves (and sounds) like the one in the game.

E3 2017 certainly lives up to expectations as gaming’s biggest trade show. Now that it’s open to the public, it’ll be interesting to see how the trade show – that was only accessible to certain groups of people in the past – will evolve over the next few years.
