A year ago, iflix and TM have signed what considered by many as a landmark agreement that enables UniFi and Streamyx customers to enjoy 1-year access to iflix for free. The deal was supposed to end in few days’ time but the on-demand streaming video service has announced that such customers will be able to continue enjoy the privilege as we enter 2017.
In a simple announcement through its social media channels, UniFi and Streamyx customers are able to access iflix until 31 December 2017. Once again, customers are able to watch everything that iflix catalogues have to offer without the need to pay any additional fees on top of their Internet fees.
The company didn’t specify whether there are any changes to the detection method that is currently in place but we assume that it will remain the same. Under the existing implementation, UniFi and Streamyx customers are able to access iflix without the need to create login credentials as it able to detect such customers automatically as long as the initial access is done through UniFi or Streamyx connection.
Meanwhile, do note that the free access to iflix is only available for Streamyx 4Mbps and 8Mbps users although there is no such restriction for UniFi customers. To check out the service, you can do through its official website as well as Android and iOS apps.
