This festive season, Xiaomi is bringing in another one of its product to Malaysia: the Mi Bluetooth Speaker. On top of that, the company is also offering pretty good discounts on three of its devices during the promotional period. These include the Redmi Note 3, the Redmi 3S, as well as the Mi 4i.
Although the Mi Bluetooth Speaker is a new product in Malaysia, it was actually unveiled in China back in September last year. While it did take some time for the speaker to reach our shores, it’s better late than never.
In terms of features, the Mi Bluetooth Speaker has a 1,500mAh battery – it promises up to eight hours of playback time – a metal construction, as well as a built-in microphone. It’s also the size of a conventional pencil box, which makes it rather compact. Interestingly, users can opt to use the microSD card slot of the Mi Bluetooth Speaker for music playback instead of pairing it with a device too.
Announced alongside the Mi Bluetooth Speaker are discounts on three Xiaomi smartphones. Both the Redmi Note 3 (the 16GB variant) and the Redmi 3S will go for RM499 instead of RM699 and RM599 respectively, while the base model of the Mi 4i will retail at only RM399; it’s currently going for RM599 after a price cut back in July this year.
The Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Speaker will be available for purchase at RM169 – instead of its original asking price of RM179 – next week from the 12th to 14th of December 2016. The aforementioned discounts on the Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3S and Mi 4i will also take effect on these days only.
