Fresh from its world premiere at IFA 2016 few months ago, Acer has officially launched its brand new Swift 7 laptop in Malaysia. Joining the new laptop is the convertible Spin 5 which also made its global debut at IFA 2016.
With a thickness of only 9.98mm as you able to see from our hands-on experience right here, the sleek Swift 7 comes with 13.3-inch IPS full HD (1920 x 1080) display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Powered by Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor, the 1.1kg laptop is also equipped with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB solid state drive.
With a battery life of up to 9 hours, Swift 7 is backed by Premium Warranty Service that provides free system health check and cleaning for the laptop. Additionally, owners of Swift 7 also able to utilize next business day turnaround time for repairs and priority counter service at all Acer service center during warranty period.
As for Spin 5, it also features a 13.3-inch full HD IPS display although it is powered by Intel Core i3-6100U processor instead. Other than that, the convertible is also equipped with 4GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB solid state drive and battery life of up to 10 hours through its 3,220mAh 4-cell battery.
Priced at RM 4,999, the new Swift 7 can be obtained through 11street Malaysia and authorized Acer retailers nationwide starting from 23 November onwards. On another hand, Spin 5 is readily available at retailer stores throughout Malaysia for RM 2,199 as indicated by our report earlier this month.
