Instagram recently announced that they have added several new features into their Stories features to help make your story even more fun. You can now take Boomerang clips, mention your friends in a story, and for some, you can even add links to your stories.
To post a Boomerang, simply swipe right from your feed to open the stories camera. Under the video record button, you will see a new option for Boomerang clips. Switch to that, capture a short video and like a regular Boomerang clip, Instagram will stitch together a burst of photos into a mini video that plays forward and backward.
In addition to that, you can tag your friends with Mentions on your story. Simply type “@” followed by a username, and select the person you’d like to mention. Like a normal mention, their name will appear in your story and when someone taps on that, they will see a pop-up that takes them to the profile. If you are mentioned on someone else’s story, you will receive a notification about it too.
Finally last but not least, for verified users, you will now be able to add “See More” links to your stories. With the new feature, your followers can visit the link on Instagram’s built-in browser simply by swiping up on “See More”.
This update is available for Instagram on iOS, Android and Windows 10 devices.
