Maxis recently added the Huawei P9 to its device bundles, offering the latest smartphone from Huawei from as low as RM71 a month with Maxis Zerolution. For those who do not wish to sign up for Zerolution, you can opt to get the device from as low as RM0 with a traditional contract with the telco.
As always, the Zerolution bundle offers the Huawei P9 at RM71 a month. If you wish to change to a new phone after 12 months, you will need to pay an annual upgrade fee of RM44 a month. Maxis also recommends that you purchase a device protection at RM23 a month to ensure that you can upgrade to a new phone, making that a total of RM138 a month. Maxis Zerolution is available with MaxisONE plan 98 and above.
As for the contract plan, Maxis is offering the Huawei P9 with a traditional 24 months contract. Sign up for MaxisONE plan 98/128/158/188 and get the Huawei P9 at RM1,499, RM1,299, RM1,099 and RM0 respectively however, do note that if you terminate your contract before it’s over, you will need to pay a penalty to the telco.
The Huawei P9 is also part of the on-going Maxis Raya Free Phone promotion that offers selected 4G LTE smartphones for free. Sign up for a MaxisONE plan 188 with 24 months contract, and you can get the Huawei P9 for free, the regular contract price for the device with a Maxis ONE plan 188 is RM899.
