SanDisk has announced its latest product in the form of a client SATA SSD. Dubbed the Z410, the professional-grade SSD comes in three storage capacities: 120GB, 240GB and 480GB. According to SanDisk, the Z410 is a low-end SSD that is targeted not only at professionals, but also for mainstream PC usage as well.

Performance-wise the 2.5-inch Z410 SSD is able to churn out sequential read and write speeds of 535MBps and 445MBps respectively. Meanwhile, random read speeds vary from 36K to 37K IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second); random write speeds are recorded to be between 54K up to 68K IOPS.

The flash controller that comes with the Z410 SSD was not stated, but SanDisk did mention that its newest SSD is equipped with the SLC (single-level cell) cache technology. Though it may not be as powerful as the X400, the Z410 SSD can instead be seen as an affordable entry-level SSD for professionals – prices were not stated however. In addition, the Z410 also comes with a three-year warranty as well.

Unfortunately, the date of availability for all variants of the SanDisk Z140 SSD was not mentioned. Regardless, more information about the SanDisk Z140 client SSD can be found here.
