While there might not be plenty of them around but from time to time, we do see smartphones companies releasing tie-in products in cooperation with football teams. The latest such product comes in the form of R7 Plus FC Barcelona Edition from the Chinese manufacturer, OPPO.
While the phone is still the same R7 Plus that we’ve seen before, the FC Barcelona Edition unit can be differentiated via the team’s logo that has been engraved on the back of the device. Released in conjunction of the company’s partnership with the renowned Catalan football team, the phone also comes with FC Barcelona-themed wallpaper alongside its own packaging that features themed protective case and more.

We’ve been informed that the smartphone will be released in Malaysia in extremely limited amount of unit within this month but its price tag is still unknown at the moment. Alternatively, users are also able to obtain the device through online auction at eBay on 12 September which will feature several unit autographed by world famous FC Barcelona’s players such as Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, and Dani Alves. The proceeds from this online auction will be donated to FC Barcelona Foundation.
Given the fact that that a standard R7 Plus already cost RM 1,998, loyal Barcelonistas out there most likely need to fork out a little bit more if they want to get their hands on this limited edition R7 Plus FC Barcelona by OPPO.
