It looks like the leak yesterday is the real deal afterall. U Mobile has just announced new UMI prepaid plans, along with brand new postpaid plans. All of these plans boasts up to double the internet, free calls, low call rates and more.
As expected, the new prepaid plans are UMI 20, UMI 30 and UMI 50 that offers 500MB, 1.5GB and 3GB of internet data respectively for RM20, RM30 and RM50. On top of that, each of these plans coms bundled with free voice calls and low calling rates at only 5sen/30 seconds – that’s even cheaper than most postpaid calling rates offered in Malaysia.
With the addition of these new UMI plans, U Mobile will be removing the older UMI plans except for UMI 38. The current UMI plans offerings are as shown below:
What about postpaid users? U Mobile also introduced new P50 and P70 postpaid plans that offers even more than before. Like the new UMI Plans, the new P50 and P70 postpaid plans comes bundled with the same benefits like 3GB and 4.5GB of internet a month respectively, free calls and the same low call rates.
The new postpaid plans will take over the Unlimited 50 and Unlimited 80 postpaid plans. U28 postpaid plan is still available for new subscribers.
To make things even better, if you don’t utilise all your free calls, you can carry forward up to two times the talktime. All of these new plans are in-line with on-going promotions such as free 50MB of internet roaming, so yes, if you’re subscribed to any of these plans, you will get 50MB of internet to use in selected countries everyday.
