Since the demise of MSN Messenger and perhaps even before that, I’ve made the move to be on Google Talk fulltime as most of my friends have gmail accounts. On top of this GTalk actually is able to connect me to the internal office chats as well. Granted, Google Talk is now called Hangouts, Google has just released Hangouts 2.0 that brings the iOS client up to speed.
In the new version, you’ll have a new iOS 7 ready look with the ability to send 10second video messages for when your friends are not online for you to bug. On top of that, the iOS version has brought a more convenient 2 pane approach to make use of the iPad screen real estate.
