Did you download and install the iOS 6.1.3 update yesterday, with hopes to have the lock screen bypass bug fixed? Well, that didn’t work very well because it turns out that someone has found yet another loophole, will this ever stop?
Revealed by a YouTube user VideosdeBarraquito, the steps are actually quite complex, I’m amazed that someone had the patient to do all those. At the lock screen, activate the Voice Command (by holding down on the home button), give it a command like “Call” and when it’s doing so, immediately eject the SIM tray. That will bring you to the calling function whereby you can access the contact list.
If you’re paranoid about your contact list being exposed, for whatever reason it is, the temporary fix is simple – just disable Voice Dialing at the Passcode lock page and you’re safe…for now at least.
