Love using Ubuntu on your desktop and wish that you could use it on your mobile device too so you can have a seamless experience at work, home and on the go? Well, it looks like you may be able to do just that in the near future because Ubuntu is teasing something on its website with a banner that reads “So close, you can almost touch it” along with a countdown timer that expires at 8AM ET.
So what could the announcement be? Earlier last month, Canonical founder Mark Shuttleworth hinted that the company is planning to bring the OS to mobile devices including smartphones and tablets, so the announcement scheduled for tomorrow morning our time fits right in. Unfortunately though, it may only be an announcement, the full version is not expected to launch until Q2 2014 but hey, at least we will get to see what the company has to offer. Anybody staying up to catch the announcement that will be happening at 2am tomorrow morning?
