Today, in addition to their award winning drive family, Western Digital has announced the brand new Velociraptor 10k RPM drive in a delicious 1TB flavor. Designed for high-performance PC’s, Mac’s and professional workstations that require a balance of high performance and capacity, the WD Velociraptor drive is a favorite among enthusiasts and creative professionals. The Velociraptor will also come in 500GB and 250GB models.
The Velociraptor 2.5inch hard drive comes in an IcePack enclosure, a 3.5inch mounting frame with built in heat sink that fits the drive into a standard system bay and keeps the powerful drive cool when installed in a high performance workstation. The Velociraptor boasts SATA 6Gb/s interface and 64MB Cache.
The WD Velociraptor 1TB will be retailing for RM1,099, the 500GB will retail for RM699 and the 250GB will be retailing at RM549.
