It seems like one of the immediate effect of having a new owner is that the Vertu is now able to utilize other mobile operating system apart from Nokia (the company’s previous owner) Symbian. Hence, say hello to the new Vertu Ti – the company’s first ever Android smartphone.
Powered by a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, the Vertu Ti runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is equipped with a 3.7-inch display. It also comes together with 1GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, 8-megapixels rear autofocus camera with twin LED flash and 1.3-megapixels front-facing camera.
While the technical specifications might sound identical to many mid-end or lower high-end smartphones out there, the company has gone to great length to conceive Ti as a full-fledged luxury device that Vertu is really well-known for. One such example is its casing which is made out of titanium as well as its 3.7-inch display that is crafted from sapphire crystal.
Furthermore, Vertu Ti also comes with stereo speakers that are tuned by Bang & Olufson and “punctuated” by London Symphony Orchestra…whatever that means. On top of all that, each Vertu Ti is hand-assembled by a single craftsman at the company’s headquarters in Hampshire, England.
The price? Depending on your choice of finishing for the device, the Vertu Ti is priced from RM 32,740 (EUR 7,900) up to RM 68,381 (EUR 16,500). With that kind of pricing, the device is certainly out of reach for majority of users out there but if you can afford it, head on to www.vertu.com to get your hands on one.

this is a phone for the rich only lol
wohohoho….this is super duper overrrrrr..even a mobile phone is enough for me (call/sms)
This phone is not only for the rich. It is for rich SOHAI.
Only If this phone is Military grade, I would more appreciate…
But for sure this phone is for rich SOHAI..
The design sucks, and the OS in it is so so….
The fool and his money are soon parted.
Wuah!!! More expensive than my car!!!
wats so special bout high grade material its made of but dont preform like a beast
Its pretty strange how they market it as a ultra high-end/jewelry with super hardware specs (thats not even that ‘super’) that, ironically, uses a fundamentally FREE software – Android.
Ultimately, what would that titanium casing, sapphire glass and not-so-powerful hardware specs mean if you don’t have Android on it?
All you would have is just a very expensive piece of brick.
If they are charging so much for the phone, they should at least have the courtesy to make the spec really really high end. 3.7″ screen with 480×800 resolution… this is really a joke.
lol wth it run 4.0 os
The shape of this phone ugly…
This phone for stupid rich ppl
cant help it but the commentators here are all driving kancil/taking public transport instead of driving real cars.
instead of using a prada handbag, let me guess, u using recycle shopping bag?
@lala, not using handbag like prada doesnt mean they are poor. Most of the rich who become rich by themselves know the value of things.
What so special about this phone? Casing made with 10crt gold? For me it looks the same as an ordinary phone. Maybe the nut loose money bosses who do not know what to spend will buy it..
