ASUS Malaysia has just announced the availability of the new Nexus 7 tablet with 3G connectivity in Malaysia via its Facebook page. Late last week we heard that SenQ are taking pre-orders for the 7-inch tablet, but ASUS has now confirmed local availability, as well as a list of retail partners.
This tablet will officially be known as the Nexus 7C, to differentiate itself from the earlier version. Inside, the Nexus 7C shares the same internals as the Nexus 7 launched earlier this year, featuring a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor running at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, and also a 7-inch 1280 x 800 resolution IPS display.
The biggest difference, of course, is the addition of a SIM card slot for 3G connectivity in addition to WiFi, as well as a larger 32GB onboard storage. Again, there is no expandable storage option, so you’re stuck with 32GB, but we feel that’s easier to digest than the initial 16GB offered in the first Nexus 7.
The ASUS Nexus 7C by Google is now available nationwide at a retail price of RM1099. If you’re interested in the WiFi-only option, ASUS recently dropped the price for the Nexus 7 to RM899.

at last.. please tell me how about nexus 7 Accessory..
I like your new website layout better than the old one ! Good job.
If Nexus 7C has also a decent back camera & phone functionalities, it should sell by the truckloads (aka a much cheaper more powerful Tab 7.7) & become de ultimate tablet to own
that is an awesome news. vanilla android at the price of 1099 with 32g storage n 3g connection. thats bang for buck. wonder if they give free casing like what sen heng did

where to find the latest price for it products?
Hi shaz, so far we’ve not heard of the accessories yet, but we’re thinking perhaps the accessories for the original Nexus 7 can be used for this Nexus 7C, since they share the same dimensions.
Thanks wiZView!
Well, the whole idea was to keep the price of the Nexus 7 down, which explains the lack of a back camera. Adding more radios also would mean higher costs.
But then again, adding phone functionality would only make people go crazy thinking up a new class name, because a phablet would then be too small!
Yup, definitely is good news for the consumer. Don’t forget Nexus owners are also the first to get OTA updates, which is a big plus.
As for freebies, we’re guessing it will be up to the retailer, and not ASUS Malaysia.
Hi alvin, a good place to start would be here at Lowyat.NET!
Otherwise, ASUS Malaysia’s Facebook page does have plenty of useful information on its products. They also upload their product guide there, so you’ll always be in the loop of their latest products.
